Book a call
Design

Claude Design just killed our design agency.

Just kidding. But it should kill some.

The word "Design" next to a painter's palette icon, set in black on a plain warm off-white background.

Most of the "design work" I see around me is not design. It's rectangles. 3 concepts, 2 rounds of revisions, some opinions about button radius, ship. $20k later, the client got a website that could have been 5 other websites.

That work was already dying. Claude Design just put a date on it.

Agencies that should be scared:

  • The ones who sell hours
  • The ones whose whole process is "kickoff call → 3 concepts → revise → ship"
  • The ones who have never run a real design session (a kickoff call is not the same thing)
  • The ones whose portfolio pieces all look like each other

If that's your business, Claude Design isn't your problem. Your client figuring out how fast Claude Design is - that's your problem.

Agencies that aren't scared:

  • The ones who run sessions that replace 3 weeks of revisions
  • The ones who know when to push back on a founder/CMO
  • The ones who can push design 1% further than Claude can, and turn that 1% into a product your customer actually remembers

Claude Design didn't kill our agency. It made the gap between good and bad agencies impossible to hide.

Good.

The industry has been overdue for this for years ( ˘ ³˘)♥
