Ecommerce platform for Australian pump distributor

Hero image

Overview

Streamline Pump Solutions is an Australian wholesaler of industrial pumps that decided to sell directly to residential and commercial customers — bypassing distributors entirely. With no existing ecommerce operation, they needed a store built to generate sales, rank in search, and run without ongoing technical dependency. We built an ecommerce platform, launched Google Ads and SEO in parallel, and have been managing both channels since launch — with revenue growing every month.

Challenge

Streamline Pump Solutions had established wholesale operations and a strong product range, but entering direct-to-consumer retail was a different business. No ecommerce history meant no domain authority, no customer base, and no data on whether end customers would buy industrial pumps online.

The priority was validation before scale — build for conversion and long-term search visibility from day one, because structural mistakes in ecommerce are expensive to fix after launch.

Key problems:

  • No existing domain authority — SEO would take months to produce meaningful traffic

  • Unproven consumer demand for industrial pumps purchased online

  • Initial launch produced zero sales despite active Google Ads campaigns

  • Certifications, warranties, and guarantees weren't visible to first-time visitors

  • Client needed full operational independence — adding products and managing orders without developer support

SOLUTION

Direct-to-consumer ecommerce platform

The approach was validation-first. We focused on building a store that could convert visitors and rank in search.

We built a WooCommerce store with roughly 100 products across multiple categories, structured for both user navigation and SEO. Checkout was optimized for conversion. After launch exposed conversion issues, we ran a focused CRO session — adding certifications, guarantees, and partnership badges across key pages. The store started generating sales within a week of those changes.

Google Ads drove early revenue while SEO built organic rankings in parallel — two blog posts monthly, steady link building, technical optimization from the start.

Key deliverables:

  • WooCommerce store with ~100 products, category structure, and mobile-optimized design

  • Checkout optimized for conversion with free shipping threshold and product recommendations

  • Certifications, warranties, guarantees, and partnership badges added across key pages post-launch

  • Google Ads campaigns set up and managed from launch

  • Organic search built from day one — technical optimization, content, and link building running in parallel

Great partnership

The project has been running since launch — Google Ads, SEO, and ongoing development managed in parallel. The client handles day-to-day operations independently: adding products, managing orders, no technical support needed.

We're still at it.
