Bring your Ghost publication into WordPress with the article archive, author structure, and reader access planned together. Norml transfers the agreed content, builds the publication templates, and maps existing URLs. Newsletter subscribers and paid memberships are handled as separate systems so their billing and access rules are not lost inside a content import.
Ghost provides separate exports for content, members, and themes. We use the relevant sources to define the WordPress publication and any continuing subscription services.
We inspect the Ghost content export, map authors and tags, and preserve the agreed dates and publication states. Rich content receives a rendering review, including galleries, embeds, buttons, and downloadable files. Source identifiers help reconcile the archive and avoid duplicate posts on repeat imports.
The WordPress site needs its own theme, article templates, archives, and editing controls. We use the existing publication as the agreed visual reference and map changed slugs or route patterns. Author profiles, tag archives, internal links, and important landing pages are included in the URL review.
The member export is separate from the article data. We map the fields required by the selected newsletter or membership tool and preserve the available subscription-status information. Imported contact details must not be treated as permission to enroll a reader in a different communication program.
Paid memberships need a provider-supported billing and access plan. We inspect how the source identifies subscribers and how the WordPress destination will grant access. A Stripe customer identifier in an export does not by itself migrate a subscription or establish the destination’s right to charge it.
Provide authorized Ghost access, the available content and member exports, original media, domain details, and WordPress hosting. Identify private posts, paid tiers, custom integrations, and the readers or editors whose access must be tested.
Choose the intended email-delivery and membership services before transferring subscriber records. Account access, billing continuity, consent, and any reader notices require explicit decisions. The content archive can be scoped independently if paid access needs a longer transition.
Review the content export, author and tag structure, routes, and media. Agree WordPress fields and templates, then separate the member and billing work from the editorial transfer.
Import representative articles and review their formatting, links, and images. Test editorial updates and the included access rules using representative reader and staff roles.
Reconcile the article inventory and final content changes, apply redirects, and connect the domain. Verify public and restricted pages, with newsletter and billing changes performed only through the separately agreed transition.
