What the migration covers
An OpenCart product can contain options that behave differently from a stock-tracked variant. We review those choices and the store’s custom records before defining the Shopify setup.
Products and shopper-entered options
We map catalog fields, SKUs, images, categories, and stock. Selectable options, text entry, file uploads, and date choices receive separate destination decisions. Samples verify required choices, price adjustments, weight effects, and the information that must reach staff on an order.
Extension data and business rules
Installed extensions may control discounts, shipping, reviews, product builders, or customer access. We inspect the features you need and identify any records held in custom tables. Each required function gets a supported replacement or an agreed custom implementation, rather than being assumed part of a product import.
Customers and historical orders
We agree the retained customer and order fields, select an extraction route for your source version, and reconcile imported records using source identifiers. Customer associations, totals, status, and product options are checked. Historic orders must remain distinguishable from orders awaiting fulfillment.
Storefront and final switch
The Shopify build includes the approved collections, product templates, supporting content, and checkout configuration. We map old category and product URLs, test the operational connections, and reconcile stock and orders created during the build before activating the new storefront.
