WooCommerce and Google Merchant Center integration

Connect your WooCommerce catalog with Google Merchant Center using a maintained feed or integration route. We map product identifiers and variants, check price and availability consistency, and make feed errors actionable for the person maintaining the store.

What the connection includes

We agree on the records, fields and operating rules before connecting WooCommerce and Google Merchant Center. The scope below defines the work to review together.

Connected systems
WooCommerce + Google Merchant Center
Data flow
WooCommerce supplies selected product data to Merchant Center. Store product fields remain the agreed source for price, availability and landing pages; Merchant Center reports processing and policy issues. Connecting the feed does not guarantee product approval or ad performance.

Products, variants and identifiers

We inventory the catalog and map each eligible product or variation to a stable feed identifier. Brand, GTIN, MPN and category-specific attributes are reviewed where applicable; identifiers are never invented to fill an empty field.

Price, availability and landing pages

Feed values must agree with the product page a shopper reaches. We check variant selection, sale prices, availability and product URLs, with explicit ownership for fields that also appear in Merchant Center.

Shipping inputs and diagnostics

Shipping and return settings need a verified configuration alongside the product data. We inspect account and item issues, identify missing attributes and define how catalog changes and feed failures are reviewed.

What we need to scope the work

Store and Merchant Center access

Provide the WooCommerce site, target account and current feed plugins. We check permissions, website ownership and overlapping data sources before adding another catalog connection.

Catalog and market decisions

Confirm the products, destinations, languages and shipping regions in scope. Category-specific requirements and unsupported products need review; a successful upload does not establish eligibility for every listing surface.

A maintained connection

The chosen extension, feed or API must be supported at implementation time. Older integration instructions are not treated as proof that a retired endpoint still works, and advertising campaign setup is a separate service.

How we build and check the connection

  1. Audit a representative catalog sample

Review simple products, variations and products with special attributes. Compare store fields with Merchant Center requirements and identify missing source data.

  2. Configure and validate the feed

Implement the agreed route, map attributes and test product updates. Check a changed price, an unavailable variant and a removed product against the receiving account.

  3. Review diagnostics and hand over

Inspect item and account issues after processing, resolve mapping errors and document remaining policy decisions. Hand over field ownership, update monitoring and the steps for investigating price mismatches.

Integration questions

Does every product need a GTIN?
Requirements depend on the product and the identifiers assigned to it. We review applicable Merchant Center specifications and available manufacturer data. We do not generate a false identifier simply to pass a feed check.
How are price mismatches handled?
We compare the submitted value with the actual landing page, including variant selection and sale-price behavior. The correction addresses the source field or feed mapping, then the next processed update is checked.
Will connecting the feed guarantee approval?
No. Google evaluates product data, website information and applicable policies. We fix integration and mapping issues within scope and identify any account or policy decisions the merchant must address.
Can we keep an existing feed plugin?
We first assess whether it is maintained and supports the required catalog. Reusing a working route can be appropriate; running several overlapping feeds without clear ownership can make errors harder to diagnose.
Share your website and one example of the record you need in Google Merchant Center. We will review the existing setup, agree on the data mapping and identify the access needed.
