WooCommerce and Klaviyo integration

Connect WooCommerce store activity to Klaviyo with checked customer records, shopping events and consent settings. We review the existing extension and tracking setup, then verify which information reaches Klaviyo and where gaps or duplicate events need repair.

What the connection includes

We agree on the records, fields and operating rules before connecting WooCommerce and Klaviyo. The scope below defines the work to review together.

WooCommerce + Klaviyo
Data flow
WooCommerce supplies supported catalog, customer and order activity to Klaviyo. Consent settings govern subscriber handling. WooCommerce remains the source for store transactions; Klaviyo campaigns and flows are configured separately.

Extension and event coverage

We inspect the supported WooCommerce connection and identify the events your marketing team needs. A test order is traced against the events actually available, including the distinction between server-side store activity and browser tracking.

Catalog and customer identity

Product identifiers, variants and customer matching are reviewed together. Guest purchases and existing profiles need explicit checks so a purchase event is useful alongside the correct customer and product context.

History, consent and duplicate events

We review initial synchronization and existing scripts before turning on another source of events. Subscriber settings are checked independently of customer import, and historical orders are kept distinct from new activity when evaluating flow behavior.

What we need to scope the work

Store and Klaviyo access

Share the website, installed extension version and the Klaviyo account. We confirm compatibility, account permissions and any hosting restrictions that could prevent the connection working.

Marketing permission rules

Provide your checkout opt-in wording, current lists and consent setup. Importing a customer profile does not by itself establish permission to send marketing, and email and SMS settings need separate treatment.

Flow activation decisions

Campaign writing, sending and revenue targets are outside a connection-only scope. Existing live flows must be reviewed before synchronization changes so imported activity does not trigger unintended messages.

How we build and check the connection

  1. Audit the current data paths

List active plugins, tracking scripts and Klaviyo integrations. Compare a representative WooCommerce order and profile with their Klaviyo counterparts.

  2. Configure and test coverage

Apply the agreed connection settings, then test supported shopping activity, an opted-in customer and a customer without marketing permission. Compare identifiers and event values.

  3. Review failures and hand over

Check synchronization status, missing records and duplicate events. Document the tested event inventory, limits, consent settings and the owner responsible for ongoing checks.

Integration questions

Which shopping events will be available?
The exact inventory depends on the supported integration and tracking configuration. We verify it against the installed version and test the events your team plans to use rather than promising that every WooCommerce action is available.
Can you include historical customers and orders?
We review the integration’s historical synchronization and reconcile a sample against the store. The scope defines the period and any gaps; importing history is not treated as permission to enroll every customer in marketing.
Will this create our email campaigns?
No. This scope prepares and verifies the data connection. Campaign copy, audiences, flow logic and sending need their own agreement, including how they respond to historical activity.
How are duplicate events investigated?
We check for overlapping integrations, plugins and tracking code, then compare event identifiers and timestamps against the originating store activity. Removing a duplicate source requires confirming which other features depend on it.
Share your website and one example of the record you need in Klaviyo. We will review the existing setup, agree on the data mapping and identify the access needed.
