WordPress and Brevo integration

Connect WordPress sign-ups to Brevo with mapped contact attributes, list membership and a checked opt-in journey. We assess your existing forms and Brevo setup, then define what is saved, what requires confirmation and how failures are reviewed.

What the connection includes

We agree on the records, fields and operating rules before connecting WordPress and Brevo. The scope below defines the work to review together.

WordPress + Brevo
Data flow
WordPress submits approved contact details to Brevo. Brevo owns the agreed subscription and confirmation process. Transactional email delivery through WordPress is a separate configuration and is not implied by contact synchronization.

Attributes and selected lists

We map form inputs to the contact attributes available in your Brevo account and agree on the receiving lists. Different form choices can have different destinations without treating every enquiry as a marketing subscriber.

Confirmation and existing contacts

The scope defines whether a sign-up uses double opt-in and which approved confirmation template and destination it uses. Existing contacts and blocked or unsubscribed states need explicit handling.

Delivery results and corrections

We check required values and API responses, with a way for the site owner to review failed sign-ups. A retry must preserve the original permission intent rather than forcing a contact onto a list.

What we need to scope the work

WordPress and Brevo access

Provide the form plugin, intended lists and existing contact attributes. We inspect available account features, authorization and the supported route before configuring the connection.

Approved confirmation journey

Your team supplies the permission wording and approves any opt-in confirmation template and redirect page. The API configuration must match that journey, including which list membership changes occur.

Email scope decisions

Password resets, order notifications and other transactional messages are a different delivery system. If those need Brevo transport, sender authentication and delivery checks are added as an explicit separate scope.

How we build and check the connection

  1. Inspect the visitor journey

Review the sign-up form, current success state and the expected Brevo contact. Record attribute types, lists and confirmation requirements.

  2. Build and exercise the mapping

Test a new sign-up, an existing contact, a repeated request and invalid input. For double opt-in, verify both the confirmation message and the completed confirmation state.

  3. Verify recovery and ownership

Review the saved attributes and list memberships. Check controlled failures and document monitoring, access ownership and how to update the form without changing subscription behavior accidentally.

Integration questions

Can this use the forms already on our website?
We check the installed form plugin and its supported Brevo route. If the native option cannot carry the required attributes or opt-in behavior, we assess an API connection rather than assuming compatibility.
Can you configure double opt-in?
Brevo provides a double-opt-in contact flow with list, template and redirect inputs. We configure it around the approved permission wording and test the complete visitor journey.
Is transactional email setup included?
No, unless it is explicitly added. Synchronizing contacts does not prove that WordPress password resets, order emails or other transactional messages are using a verified sender and transport.
Will contact forms add everyone to a marketing list?
No. The mapping distinguishes an enquiry from an opted-in sign-up. List changes and confirmation behavior follow the choices your form actually records.
Share your website and one example of the record you need in Brevo. We will review the existing setup, agree on the data mapping and identify the access needed.
