WordPress and Salesforce integration

Connect WordPress enquiries to Salesforce with the fields and record rules your sales team already uses. We assess the form, Salesforce objects and access model, then build a checked delivery path with clear handling for rejected submissions.

What the connection includes

We agree on the records, fields and operating rules before connecting WordPress and Salesforce. The scope below defines the work to review together.

Data flow
Approved WordPress submissions create or update the agreed Salesforce leads, contacts or related records. Salesforce owns qualification and pipeline changes. Returning CRM information to WordPress is a separate permission and field-mapping decision.

Lead and contact mapping

A form may represent a new prospect or someone already in Salesforce. We agree on the destination object, required fields and matching behavior so a repeat enquiry is attached to the right relationship.

Fields and validation rules

Picklists, record types, custom fields and duplicate rules affect whether Salesforce accepts a write. We inspect the actual configuration and map permitted values rather than copying form labels directly into the API.

Delivery and rejected submissions

The connection records a delivery result for each enquiry. Validation failures need a readable reason and a recovery path; a successful WordPress confirmation must not be the only evidence that Salesforce received the record.

What we need to scope the work

Salesforce account and administrator

An administrator identifies the relevant objects, API access and least-privilege connection. Edition, entitlements and organization policies are checked before selecting the integration route.

An agreed sales destination

Provide sample records, required fields and the intended owner or assignment rule. Custom objects, attachments and contact conversion behavior are included only when named in the scope.

Website and form access

We review your WordPress form plugin, spam handling and submission retention. Secrets remain on the server or supported connector, with an identified owner responsible for renewing access.

How we build and check the connection

  1. Inspect the object rules

Trace a representative enquiry and document the required fields, duplicate handling and destination record type with the Salesforce administrator.

  2. Build and verify the connection

Implement the selected route. Test a new prospect, an existing contact, an invalid picklist value and a missing required field using approved test data.

  3. Confirm recovery and operation

Verify saved records and associations in Salesforce. Exercise rejected-submission recovery without bypassing duplicate rules, then hand over the mapping and failure-review process.

Integration questions

Can you use custom fields and objects?
We can assess them when the Salesforce API and account permissions expose the required operations. Their validation rules, relationships and record types need an explicit mapping; they are not automatically covered by a standard lead form.
What happens if Salesforce rejects an enquiry?
The integration retains a delivery result and enough context for the designated owner to correct the issue. Retrying follows the original submission identity so it does not silently create an additional record.
Does this bypass Salesforce duplicate rules?
No. We review the rules with your administrator and implement an agreed match or review path. A connector should not disable organization-wide protections merely to make a form submission succeed.
Will it work on every Salesforce edition?
API access and supported integration methods must be verified for the account. We confirm those prerequisites before proposing an implementation rather than assuming all subscriptions expose the same capabilities.
Share your website and one example of the record you need in Salesforce. We will review the existing setup, agree on the data mapping and identify the access needed.
